Repeating Blocks in Google Calendar or Outlook

Since Lisa only needs to know if you're busy, or not, you can mark an event as repeating. You only need to setup a "Recurrence" or repeating event.

  1. Create a new event and fill out the details.
  2. Remember to mark the event as busy.
  3. Set the repetition to when the event is happening. For example, if you review paperwork at 4 every Friday, you can set the recurrence to Weekly at 4 on Fridays.
  4. Repeating events can be tricky to schedule. After you set one up, look a few weeks ahead to make sure it's happening at the right time and that you've set the "End date". Lisa won't always point out if you block off every Friday until 2050, she assumes you've worked something out with your boss.
  5. Lastly, remember to DECLINE any conflicting appointments. It's kind to let them know as soon as possible that you won't be available so that they can rearrange their plans.
